Your Feet Don’t Hurt Anymore, Get Out of the House! (SoCal Edition)
Share
You’ve got your Groovs and your feet feel amazing. Now what?
For my fellow SoCal residents looking to hit the beach and uncover new spots, it’s time to take advantage of that new-found comfort and spend a day by the ocean—no pain, no excuses.
Start at Manhattan Beach Pier because it’s one of the best spots in LA for your main character, new year, new me moment. The ocean stretches out forever, the air smells like sunscreen, and at golden hour, you’re gonna get some great pics. If you’re feeling particularly marine, check out the Roundhouse Aquarium at the end of the pier—it’s free, and staring at sea creatures always makes me feel a bit like one…
Take your Groovs for a stroll down The Strand where you’ll get your daily dose of dream home inspiration. These beachfront houses along the way range from “Wow, that’s nice” to “Is that Lauren Sanchez?” If you’re lucky (and brave) you might even get a chance to slip off your shoes and join a volleyball game…
Celebrate your win with a stop for food in Downtown Manhattan Beach. If coffee is the priority, Two Guns Espresso is THE move. And if you need some real fueling food, MB Post has some game-changing bacon cheddar biscuits.
Time for a digestive walk down to Hermosa Beach—it’s only a couple of miles away, and you’ll have ocean views with you the whole way. If things could get even more chill, this is where it’s at, with live music, surf shops, and beach games happening non-stop. If you’re like me and love some people watching, the Pier Plaza is the spot (and you’ll definitely see some funky footwear).
Let’s end the day and cheers to your pain free day with a drink at Tower 12 or The Bungalow Hermosa!
Moral of the story? When your feet are happy, you actually want to get out and explore. Whether it’s a neighborhood you’ve been meaning to check out, a new café you want to try, or a scenic beach day like this—go enjoy it. We’ll take care of the comfort part.
Stay groovy,
Santiago
